Here are some common questions we get asked by potential staff and volunteers. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask for help! We are more than happy to try and answer any questions you may have!
Yes, training week/weekend is mandatory for anyone looking to work at River of Life Camp. If, for some reason, it is not possible for you to attend, please contact us in advance to work something out.
Yes, we do have some paid positions available for those who are 17 or older and can be here the entire summer. Some of those positions are listed above!
Our Overnight Camp is 7 weeks long including our training week (June 25th to August 11th). Our Day Camp is 10 weeks long including the training weekend (June 15th to August 24th).
We would love to work with you to make it happen! In order to serve in Overnight Camp (especially as a counselor) we ask that you at least be able to give a week (Sunday afternoon to Friday night or Saturday morning, depending on the week) plus the training week. In order to serve in Day Camp we ask that you at least be able to give a week (Monday morning to Friday afternoon) plus the training weekend. For kitchen workers, we ask that you be able to give a week of 5 morning (Monday to Friday) or 6 afternoon (Sunday to Friday) shifts, but can still work with you even if you can only give one day a week.
